“A platform to share news and views of management education as practiced by different B-Schools; to seed interactions with recent industry-entrants to get a flavor of what awaits B-School students when they walk into the corporate world; to give an opportunity for the host-students to practice event management and to facilitate a general camaraderie that often burgeons into strong relationships.”- Dr. Gopal Iyengar Operacy is an annual All India paper writing competition organized by Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies and it was a runaway success last year. And this year we are going to hold Operacy, now in its ninth year, will be conducted on 13- 14th October, 2007. It is usually classified into two parts – Insight and Matrix. Insight is also subdivided into two divisions. Part I deals with the written paper submission and part II deals with the paper presentation. Insight is a two stage process beginning with Paper Submission and Evaluation followed by Paper Presentation by the selected participants. And the matrix comprises of the management games at testing Creativity, Leadership and Team Building Skills of the Participants. This year we are expecting more than 50 entries from Corporates and more than 150 entries from B- schools. Out of that, 10 teams from each group will be selected. Last year we had tremendous response from various B schools such as IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad, NMIMS, FMS Delhi, SCMHRD, Delhi School of Economics, TISS Mumbai etc. And when it comes down to corporate houses, we had people from Mindtree Consulting, Force Motors, Wipro, Frost & Sullivan etc. |
